Pluses And Minuses

Here’s an idea to help the children behave during club or class: Place one piece of candy, or other appropriate prize for behaving, per child in a conspicuous place while you are teaching. Explain to the children that each time you have to stop to resolve a discipling problem, one piece of candy will be removed. This obviously means that one person (the one that misbehaves) will not recieve a piece at the end of the teaching time. However, you may also choose to place an extra piece there in the event of especially good behavior (when a child helps another or otherwise shows kindness, asks a great question or answers a question with an exceptional answer.) This, of course, means that someone will receive an extra piece.
